1. Your fresh tattoo has been covered with a clear adhesive bandage (aka 2nd skin); a product used to enhance wound healing and prevent skin breakdown, following the tattoo process.
3. Remove the bandage early, only if it is not fully sealed, or if there is a lot of fluid accumulation inside the bandage.
4. Remove the bandage using soap and water; slowly stretch/peel it away from the covered area, while supported the skin where it is adhered (do not pull it up and away from the skin). If it is really hard to remove, applying a non-scented moisturizer will help. Using your bare hand(s), gently wash your tattoo with warm water and a mild soap.
5. Wash your tattoo every day, until it becomes dry/itchy/peeling, then start applying a tiny amount of unscented lotion. Rub lotion into tattoo, until it is completely absorbed.
6. Too much product will definitely ruin your tattoo, while too little product may cause additional scabbing and flaking of the tattooed area.
7. Listen to your respected artist's advice; not your friends.
2. Leave the bandage on, for up to 5 days. Showers during the first 5 days are OK, but avoid total submersion of your tattoo bandage during this time.
